Joan Louise Harrod, age 72, of Bridgeport Township, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020. The daughter of Edwin and Mary (Kurecka) Harrod, Joan was born on May 21, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Joan loved her cats and her 2 remaining cats will be cared for.
Joan is survived by many loving cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Committal Service will be held at 1:00p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Oakwood Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48638.

I just came across Joan’s obituary and was saddened to see she has passed away. She was a classmate of mine at Bridgeport High School. We met in Miss Eckert’s Latin class. She and I were among the small number of classmates who were orthodontic patients, and we often compared notes about our brace an retainers. Joan was quite a brilliant person and an excellent student. I did write her a few years back because I had not stayed in touch and had been wondering how she was doing. Joan was a kind and good individual, and I am happy to know she was loved by her cousins and family members, especially because she had lost her dad at a young age and was raised without siblings by her mom. May she rest in peace in Heaven with her beloved parents.
