Obituary
Arthur Douglas Shepherd, age 64, of Jerome, Michigan passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Manistique, Michigan. The son of Reuben and Arlene (Stanley) Shepherd, Arthur was born on December 28, 1959, in Jackson, Michigan.
Art loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his ATV. He was an avid marksman and proud member of the NRA. Before retirement, he was a machinist and traveled the United States as a truck driver.
Art is survived by his beloved siblings, John Shepherd, Joseph Shepherd, Andrea (Kevin) Ramsett, William Shepherd, Jennifer (Donnie) Clark, Scott (Teri) Shepherd, Cassondra (Don) Bernstein; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Reuben Shepherd, and grandparents, Art and Mildred Stanley.
Honoring Art's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will take place at a later date.

Our family thought of Art as one of our brothers. To us he was one of us. When my mother and I set up camp in our backyard Art set up his hawian tiki lights for us. Art and I were close. Every Christmas, Mom had me run out to get Art, 2 special socks, to keep his feet warm while hunting. Our family will deeply miss him. Yetta McTigue and the Lippmann family.
