Obituary
Vernard “Vern” William Tolles, age 75, of Saginaw Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. Vern was born February 6, 1949, to Roswald and Marguerite Tolles in Saginaw, Michigan.
He graduated from Bridgeport High in 1967. Vern married Diane (Nunamaker) on March 23, 1969. He worked at General Motors for 44 years. Vern served in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. He enjoyed helping others and was a faithful person, serving many different committees as a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church in Saginaw. He enjoyed fishing, was a HAM radio operator and traveled often with family and friends. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Tolles; children, Michelle Tolles and Nathan (Luis) Tolles; cherished grandchildren, Tricia Diane and Noah Vernard (Alexandra) Sinicki and their father, Alan; sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Gunlock and Esther Tolles; brother-in-law, Duane Goldynia; brother and sister-in-laws, Joe (Tara) Nunamaker, Linda McInnis, Lori (Loren) Schweinsberg and Mike (Danielle) Nunamaker; godchildren, Mike Nunamaker, Melissa Klammer and Evi Hahn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vern was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine Bartlett, Patricia Tolles, Adeline Goldynia; brothers, Clifford and Robert Tolles, and his parents.
Per Vern's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Christina Schultz will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Personal Needs Pantry; care of the church.

We are going to miss walking with Vern at the annual American Brain Tumor walk on Team Emily. He and Diane walked every year with our family and always a pleasure. We will miss you next year but I know you will be there in spirit walking along with us next to Emily. God Bless.
