Ronald Moon

When I was a kid, I used to save up my money to buy things I wanted, with an allowance of $.50 and a buck here and there from odd jobs, sometime the process would take months. I recall one instance that involved my dad (Ron), when I saved up to buy a portable cassette player for music. It was before the introduction of the Walkman, and I had my eye on a Sony player from the Sears catalog. I skimped and saved my allowances and babysitting money until I could finally pull together just enough to buy the player, and Dad offered to drive me out to the mall before Sears closed to make the purchase. I was so excited to have this amazing device, I hadn't even thought about having a tape to play in it. When we got there, Dad asked if I had any music to play in my new toy. He must have seen my face fall, because when I admitted I did not, and all my money was now gone, he told me to go pick one out in the music section and he would pay for it. I chose the Boston album, and every night went to sleep listening to it over and over. To this day, I think of my dad whenever I hear "More Than a Feeling"! Thank you, Dad!

I have so many wonderful memories of Rose and Ron that I could never choose.
