Obituary
Daniel Albert Lenar, age 77, of Caseville, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. Born on April 29, 1947, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, to Valerian and Ruth (Shattuck) Lenar, Daniel's life was marked by faith and service. He met his wife, Linda Patterson, at a religious convention for Jehovah's Witnesses. They married on May 4, 1968, and together they shared 56 cherished years.
After marrying, Dan and Linda moved to Bad Axe, MI, to support the local Jehovah's Witness congregation. Dedicated to their faith, they not only volunteered their time locally but also prepared to share in foreign missionary service abroad. However, with the birth of their first child, they decided to settle in Caseville, MI, where both Dan and Linda continued to share their faith and the hope offered by the Bible with others throughout their lives. Daniel also built a successful commercial cleaning business in Caseville and later transitioned to assisting others with senior care insurance options.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Lenar; loving children, Lamont Lenar, Nathan Lenar, and Danielle Lenar; brother, Greg (Donna, deceased) Lenar; brother-in-law, Randy Patterson; extended family, Susan Lenar (Joel, deceased), Courtney Zimmer (Phil, deceased), Jeremy Lenar, Timothy Atkinson (Lisa), Daniel Atkinson (deceased), Leah Dzierzawski (Steve), Jason Atkinson (Cherie), and Sabita Lenar; along with many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Ann Atkinson (Dave, deceased), and his parents.
Honoring Daniel's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, December 1, at 4:00 pm (EST), Kingdom Hall, 1203 N. Niagara, Saginaw, MI. To attend virtually, the Zoom meeting ID is 821 7442 2275 (passcode: Central20).
