Sandra Arizola

Sandra “Sandy” Arizola, age 81, of Birch Run, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in Saginaw, with family by her side. She was born on March 29, 1945 in Saginaw. Sandra married the love of her life, Gilberto “Gilbert” Arizola, on January 4, 1974, in Saginaw. Together they shared over 50 years of marriage, before his passing on October 31, 2024. Sandy loved to play bingo and take trips to the casino with Gilbert. She was the glue to her family, always keeping track of what was going on in each of her loved one’s life. She loved spending time with them, especially her grandchildren whom she adored so much.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tim Husen, Michelle (Danny) Swanson, Tamara (Ruben) Barrientos and Terri Arizola; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeremy), Billie (Shane), Kyra (Rob), Justin (Desiree), Meagan (Nathan), LaTerria (Jennifer), TaTia, Joshua (Nicole), Ruben A. (Madison), Amariana and Antonio; honorary grandson, Ryan; great grandchildren: Gavin, Henry, Laila, North, Norah, Jameson, Connor, Anna, Elizabeth, Lila, Hayden, Hazel, Levi and Rylie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ed Durek, Adolph (Linda) Arizola, Vinnie Lich and Clara Starkel; and many extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Millie and John Starkle, her husband, Gilberto Arizola; daughter, Lynn Husen; mother-in-law, Benita Arizola; siblings: Ronald Lich, Susan Durek, John Starkle Jr. and Sherry Wisely.

In keeping with Sandy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will gather privately to celebrate her life.
