Obituary
David Alan Dutcher “Dave or Papa Dave”, age 61 passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Dave was born April 25,1965 to Sandra (Dutcher) Esparza in Saginaw, MI.
Dave was an extraordinary man whose greatest joy in life was the time he spent with the people he loved. He had a kind and generous heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a way of making those around him feel loved and cared for. He loved the great outdoors and could often be found doing what he enjoyed most—camping, fishing, and simply being outside with his family. The moment the weather turned warm, Dave was ready to be outdoors, making memories, enjoying nature.
He was passionate about old school cars and took pride in his 1968 Chevrolet Bel-Air. He won many awards for his beloved car including best in show. He was a football fan, and this was probably the only time you would catch him home. Dave had a great sense of humor with a smile and laugh to match. He was always telling jokes and anyone that met him knew he loved to have a good time laughing and listening to music. Dave loved all kinds of music, but his favorite was rap and R&B. He loved listening to Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Tupac. He loved all things dealing with his grandkids. Dave enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren, his favorite time was dressing up for Halloween and going trick or treating with them and getting his own candy.
Dave is survived by his spouse of over 40 years Monica Sanchez, three loving brothers, Oscar Deparas, Ricky (Calandra) Blackmon, John (Robyn) Roberts and one loving sister Connie (Mike) Dutcher-Romosier. Six wonderful children, Ruben (MaryAnn) Sanchez, David Sanchez, Danny Dutcher, Robert Dutcher, Tony Dutcher and Erica Yon-Dutcher. His loving grandchildren Graciella Sanchez, Ruben Sanchez, Ciara Sanchez, Ariana, Layla Sanchez, Gabriella Soto, Isabella Soto, Daniella Dutcher, Carmella Dutcher, Alexia Dutcher, Serenity Dutcher, Trinity Dutcher, Clarity Dutcher, Starianna Dutcher, Tony Dutcher, Yesenia Dutcher, Ariella Barrera-Dutcher, Stephanie, Christian, Emiliano and Lilly.
