I met Randy and Cindy during their visits to their beloved daughter Stephanie, who is a dear friend and was the kindergarten and first grade teacher of my daughters. He would come to visit her and always help in the classroom she so joyously held. He was a wondrous, sweet heart of a man. He always shone the most gentle, happy smile on all he met, was helping in all the ways he could and his voice was a sweet nectar that lives on through the emotional depth and beautiful resonance of his daughters singing and story telling gifts. She holds the kind of sweetness, creativity, ethic for hard work, love for life and humor that can only be passed down from the folk who made her. You live in our hearts Randy as a sweet and gracious memory, the kind worth treasuring. May you rest in power, with the singing of children and Waldorf silks swirling around you.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to Cinda and family and share their grief for the loss of Randy. I'm imaging Randy in a place of no more pain, tooling about in Da Art Tub with Knuckles by his side spreading his natural and authentic brand of personal kindness, generosity and acceptance around the Cathedral District and Old Town. He may think on which side of his house needs a coat of red paint. There may be evenings on the front porch with family & friends enjoying love, laughter and lemonade.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I'll always remember growing up across the street from the Schantz's, the fun times and the mischief we got into. I've thought of Randy many times during the years. You will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers to your family. Don Krause

I learned so much from Randy as my mentor and boss at Bay-Arenac ISD. He was such a wonderful part of this community, who blessed so many lives, especially those with special needs.
