Robert J. Muniz, age 50, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away suddenly on July 2, 2026.

Born on March 11, 1976, Robert was a man of strong faith, devoted family values, and a kind spirit that touched the lives of many. He was a graduate of Fresno City College and was a faithful member of the Community Church of God 7th Day. His faith served as a guiding force throughout his life and provided strength, purpose, and encouragement to those around him.

Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing basketball, challenging others to a game of chess, and spending quality time with family and friends. His warm presence, sense of humor, and caring heart will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved children, Cameron Jones, Chaztity Muniz, and Jaylen Muniz; his loving mother, Eva Teneyuque; his sisters, Sandra (Steve) Nava and Cassy (Steven) Vasquez; as well as his special cousins, Merri Poineau, Charlee Poineau, and Amy Wever. He also leaves behind many extended family members including five nieces, a nephew, an aunt, and many close friends who will cherish his memory.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Teneyuque; his grandparents, Castello Muniz and Guadalupe Muniz; his sister, Francisca Muniz; and a nephew. 

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and a special thank you to the Salazar family for loving Robert as an extension of their own family and for the kindness and support they showed the family through this difficult time. The family will be forever grateful for you all.

Though Robert is no longer with us, his faith, love, and the memories he created with those around him will live on forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
