Betty Jo Shelswell, age 77, of Saginaw, passed away, Tuesday June 30, 2026, at MyMichigan Health, Saginaw, Michigan.
She was born on October 18, 1948 to Robert and Naomi LaCross in Saginaw, Michigan.
Betty worked as a custodian for Carrollton Public Schools for twenty-five years.

Betty is survived by her beloved son, Thomas (Ginger) LaCross; grandchildren, PaTRICK Rivett, Christian LaCross, and Seth LaCross; great grandchildren, Rowen Rivette and Madelyn LaCross; sister, Vickie (Jim) Okoniewski; and brother, Howard LaCross; nieces and nephews and several extended family members and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Shelswell; brothers, Mike LaCross and Robert LaCross; and sisters, Margery Blackmer and Elsie Mead; and her parents.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time for Betty.
