Obituary
Patricia A. Bartes, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Patricia was born on May 2, 1944 to Henry and Dorothy Pawlick in Saginaw, Michigan. She worked as a cafeteria supervisor for Canteen, located at Delphi, in Saginaw, Michigan, for many years before she retired.
Pat was a strong, hard working woman, who worked hard to provide for her two daughters. She was a lover of animals, especially for the dogs that she gave a loving home to over the years. She was a frequent sponsor to animal humane organizations. She took pride in taking great care of her house and yard, the very same house that she grew up in.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Jamie Wise of Saginaw, MI, and Tara Nunamaker of Big Rapids; a son-in-law Matthew Wise; six grandchildren: Jemmie Bandy, Dillon Wise, Abigail Nunamaker, Hannah Nunamaker, Peter Nunamaker, and David Nunamaker; two great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Bandy and Julian Bandy, and numerous cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Henry and Dorothy Pawlick, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Pat’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Great Lakes Pace for their loving and compassionate care of Pat for the last few years. They would also like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Covenant Medical Center at Cooper, for their loving care of Pat during her final days. A special thank you to Dawn LaFreniere and Connie Carlton for their continued friendship and support of Pat and her family. Also, thank you to the countless people who have prayed for Pat and her family, to navigate through her health struggles over the past few years.
There is no funeral planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation towards Pat’s final burial expenses, to relieve some of the financial stress of her family.
