My 'younger' cousin Jim and I were born a month apart and both named James. He was the reason I've always been known in the family by my middle name. I will always remember our childhood adventures.

Jim was a special cousin. The highlight of my summer as a child was spending a week at his parents' house, playing with Jilm and his two older brothers. Jim influenced a lot of students and will be missed by many. I am praying for Linda and all the family during this time of separation, but we rejoice in the blessed hope we have in Christ. May you feel God's arms of love and comfort around you. Until we meet again. . .

I remember calling Uncle Jim a minute after midnight on his birthday, so I could be the first to wish him a Happy Birthday. While I was deployed overseas, or living in California, I would have to figure out time zones and schedule my calls just right. I’m pretty sure he got a kick out of it, and appreciated the silliness.

Our deepest sympathies. My Uncle Jim who told me (when I had our firstborn) made him what he really is “ a GREAT uncle!!" Truly was!

Jim was a very special man. He loved God, his family and his students. A very kind man with a great sense of humor. He’ll be greatly missed.
