Juan Peres Anguiano Sr.

May 6, 1935 - February 15, 2026

Juan Peres Anguiano Sr., 90, of Saginaw, Michigan, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 6, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Francisco and Inez Anguiano. He was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, generous volunteer, and a friend to many.

In his earlier years, Juan worked on his grandparent’s farm. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he brought his family to Michigan and with his wife, were migrant workers. He built a long and dedicated career as a skilled electrician, retiring from GM Malleable Iron. A true jack of all trades, Juan was a talented handyman and mechanic who could fix just about anything. He also enjoyed riding motor scooters, motorcycles, and snowmobiles.

Juan lived his life through acts of service and was always the first to step forward when someone needed help. He was a devoted man of faith, serving as a Cursillista and Lay Minister at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Saginaw, Michigan. He had a deep love for Tex-Mex music and enjoyed traveling. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family. Juan was selfless, kind, loving, playfully-spirited, and endlessly friendly.

Juan is survived by his loving wife, Irene Cordero Anguiano; his children, Arnold and Cheryl Anguiano, Daniel and Eunice Urbina, Carmen and Mark Segovia, Juan Jr. and Magdalena Anguiano, Maria Inez Anguiano, Sylvia Rodriguez, Manuel and Diana Anguiano, Roman Anguiano, Victor Anguiano, and Diana Anguiano. He is also survived by his sisters Connie Amparon, Clara Anguiano and Hermelinda Anguiano, along with many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

He was preceded in death by brother Antonio Anguiano and sisters Janie Rodriguez and Lucia Guerrero.

The family would also like to thank the staff at MyMichigan Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care of Juan.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 10:00a.m., until the time of Mass at 11:00a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 N. 6th Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris OFM Cap will officiate.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw, Michigan.
