Melissa Anne Fairley, age 61 of Carrollton, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw.
She was born on September 18, 1963 to Dale and Brenda McLaren in Saginaw, Michigan.
Melissa graduated from Carrollton High School in 1982. She married David A. “Sonny” Fairley on August 19, 1989 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2008. She like to participate in activities with family and friends such as crafts, bingo, and card games. She also enjoyed watching her love stories. She was an exceptional mother figure to many children treating everyone as her own.
Melissa is survived by her beloved son, Kayleb William David Adonis Fairley and her daughter, Jamie Lynn Nerio; grandchildren, Lucilla Nerio and Destina Bet; her partner, Noel “Porky” Nerio; sister, Carol (Victor Vallegos) Killinger, niece, Tara Ricklefs and Nicole Nowlton; nephew, Jeremy Killinger; great niece and nephews, David Killinger, Isaac Killinger, Elijah Killinger, and James Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David “Sonny” Fairley; her sister, Dawn Ricklefs; and her parents.
Cremation has taken place and there are no services planned at this time.
