Robert Otto

Otto, Robert WallaceZilwaukee, MichiganPassed away following a brief illness at age 92 years. Robert was born in Zilwaukee on May 28, 1920 to the late Emil and Pauline (Golanska) Otto. He was married to Marjorie Ann Denton on November 24, 1954. She predeceased him in 2001. His first work experience was that of a paper delivery boy for the Saginaw News. He later retired, after 44 years, from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1985. Robert was an avid duck and pheasant hunter and a longtime member of Duck's Unlimited. He enjoyed going out to dinner with friends, working in his yard and spending time with his German short haired pointer. Robert is survived by his daughter Sue Otto, dear friend Dorothy Dittmar and his dog Mia. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church, 318 South Franklin St., Zilwaukee. Pastor Marcus P. Manthey will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may visit at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 500 N. Michigan on Monday from 4-8pm and at the church on Tuesday from 10am until service. Memorials can be considered to St. John Lutheran Church or to Best Friends Animal Society.
