Tanner Messner

Messner, Tanner JamesZilwaukee, MichiganPassed away suddenly Sunday, November 17, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Tanner had special needs, however, those special needs made him unique and extra special. He showed everyone he met the true meaning of strength, determination and love. He will be missed beyond belief. Tanner attended the Millet Learning Center and enjoyed every day there. Tanner is survived by his parents Allen and Beth (Reimus) Messner, his brother Cody, his sister Kayleigh, his nephew Bentley, grandparents Michael and Patricia Reimus, grandfather Henry Messner, aunts and uncles; Mike and Tracy Reimus, Jason and Bridget (Reimus) Boensch, Joe Messner and Becky Parsons and Lyle and Tina Messner, many cousins and a very special friend, Shelby Braman. He was predeceased by his grandmother Ruby Messner, aunt Kelly Reimus and uncle Hank Messner. Tanner's family would like to thank Dr. Andrew LaFleur and his staff, U of M Hospital – Dr. Steven Leber and the Millet Learning Center for everything they did for Tanner. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at 11am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 511 W. Cornell St. in Zilwaukee. Fr. William Taylor will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Thursday from 3-7pm at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan Ave. and at the church on Friday from 10am until service. Memorials can be considered to the family's wishes or to the Make A Wish Foundation.
