Obituary
Barbara Jean (O'Brien) McDonagh was born in Saginaw on April 5, 1941 to the late William and Margaret (McInnis) O'Brien. She is survived by her husband Robert McDonagh, her son John McDonagh and her daughter Shelly & Steve Rabinette. Also surviving are her siblings; William & Helen O'Brien, Mary & Cliff Gehrls, Sue & William MacLachlan, brother in law Gordon & Joyce McDonagh and sister in law Jean Pabalis. She was predeceased by her grandson Steven Logan Rabinette, two nephews Thomas Gehrls and William O'Brien, her sisters Patricia Demsky, Colleen Dunn, her mother and father in laws Gordon & Margaruetta McDonagh and brother in law Don Pabalis. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 11am at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan with Reverend Tom Adams officiating and burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-8pm and on Thursday from 10am until time of service.

Dearest Bob, John, Shelly & Steve ~ We are so saddened by the loss of your beloved mother. I'll bet she had a wonderful reception of cherished loved ones when the gates of Heaven opened for her! Barb was such a terrific aunt... only 8 years older than us, she looked after us and made sure we minded and stayed out of trouble... her love, kindness and willingness to put up with us will always be remembered and appreciated. Dearest Uncle Bob, Shelly & Steve, and John, My heart is saddened to know that Aunt Barb has passed on. Knowing that she is no longer in pain, has gone to be with Logan, Grandma and Grandpa, my Mom, Aunt Pat, but most of all rejoicing with the angels before the Almighty God!! She has always been a favorite aunt to me. She was a loving, giving, gentle soul. I will miss you sweet Aunt Barb and will always have fond and loving memories of my younger years with you. Aunt Barb was a very caring person. I remember her driving from Saginaw to first Essexville and then later Brighton to take Mum (her sister Pat) to ball games to see Vince and I play baseball. Our Mother did not drive, but she was a good enough Aunt to go all that way and pick her up for some games. I am sorry that we can not attend her funeral. Our deepest sympathy to Uncle Bob and Shelly and John. Please know that she is with some very much loved ones now.
