Jarabek, Bernard J.Bridgeport, MichiganPassed away Thursday, January 19, 2014 at his home at age 84 years. Bernard was born September 5, 1929 in Bridgeport, MI. Bernard graduated from Saginaw High School in 1948. He married Helen Lucille Wolfe on October 25, 1952. She predeceased him on February 5, 2012. Bernard served with the US Marine Corps for 2 years and worked as a machinist until retiring from General Motors in 1983. Surviving are his sons Michael and Rochelle Jarabek and Steven and Kari Jarabek also his grandchildren Steven D. and Grace E. Jarabek, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Veronica and William Bressette of Midland and his brother Henry Jarabek of Charlotte. Bernard was predeceased by his brothers; Daniel (JoAnn), Benjamin (Arlene) and Tom (Irene) all of Saginaw. Bernard loved warm weather, gardening, hunting and his dogs. He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (St. Anthony Site) 3680 S.Washington Rd. Fr. Thomas Schmied will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Military honors conducted by the American Legion Post 439. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan Ave. on Wednesday from 4-8pm and at the church on Thursday from 10am until time of service.

Your parents were 2 very special friends to us. Your Dad came into our flower shop often, after your Mom passed. He loved her so much. It was an honor to have known them and be their friends.
