Obituary
Manuel “Manny” Lamas Garay, age 74, of Saginaw, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Michigan. Manny was born Zacatecas, Mexico on February 19, 1950.
Manny was known as a hard worker and had a career as a landscaper. He worked for Heinz Tree Service and Landscaping for several years, where he was well-liked by his coworkers. He was also passionate in taking great pride in taking care of his own yard, as well.
Manny is survived by his fiancée and beloved longtime partner, Maria Rodriguez; children, Art (Nancy) Rodriguez, Mary Rodriguez, Rudy Rodriguez, Ramona Rodriguez, and Anna Rodriguez; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Honoring Manny's wishes, cremation will follow.
