Imogene “Emmy” Marie Wallaert, age 88, of Saginaw, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Optalis Health and Rehab Center.
She was born on March 3, 1936, to Justin and Bernice Christie in Saginaw, Michigan.
Imogene was married to Jerome “Jerry” Wallaert for 50 years. They had 3 beautiful children. They spent their time traveling and visiting friends. Emmy also enjoyed card games and game shows. Above all, she always prioritized her family and friends showing them unconditional love and support.
Imogene is survived by her son, Jerome (Lori) Wallaert Jr., son-in-law, Mark Roy; grandchildren, Kyle (fiancée, Gena Patterson) Roy; Keri Roy and Janie Wallaert; great grandchildren, Lucas, Walker, Tucker and Jack; sister, Sandra Bauer, and her very special friend Arlene Leary.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheryl Ann Wallaert and her beloved husband Jerome Wallaert. She was also preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Sheila Roy, who died nearly 12 hours before Imogene, a coincidence very similar to Imogene's sister, Jane, and their mother, Bernice, who passed away a few hours apart.
Memorial Visitation will take place for both Imogene and Shelly on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 for, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of memory sharing at 1:00 p.m., at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 North Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made directly to them in memory of Emmy.
