Kevin Champagne

Kevin Michael Champagne, of Saginaw, MI (formerly of Sebewaing and Quanicassee), passed away suddenly Wednesday July 16th, 2014. Kevin was born on March 6th, 1966 in Pigeon to the late Edmund & Sondra (Dutcher) Champagne. He was raised in Sebewaing and was a graduate of USA Schools. Kevin married Kat, his sweetheart of seven years on July 14th, 2007 at Trinity Episcopal Church. Kevin loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting, vegetable & flower gardening, barbecuing and making venison jerky & summer sausage. Any excuse to be outdoors, he took. He loved hunting for Morel mushrooms; he found over 1,400 mushrooms this year alone! Kevin also enjoyed the arts and loved to paint and draw. Kevin leaves behind his wife Katherine (Kelley), daughter of Belinda and Bob Ross of Bay Port, and daughter Jessica (12) Champagne of Saginaw, and daughter Janel Bouckaert (19) of Bay City. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law Ed & Kathy Champagne of Owendale, his nephew Grant and wife Erinn and great niece Harper of Ubly, his nephew Hunter Champagne of Owendale, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church (815 N. Grant St.) in Bay City, MI on July 26th. Kevin's family will be receiving visitors starting at 12:00pm. Service will begin at 1:00pm.
