Obituary
Young, Virginia “Ann”Saginaw, Michiganpassed away Saturday evening , January 24, 2015. Virginia was born July 24, 1934 in Flint, Michigan and grew up in Traverse City. She worked as a lab tech for many years at St. Luke's Hospital and for Dr. Blair. Virginia enjoyed gardening, playing euchre, quilting, fishing and bird watching. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son James D. (Michelle) Young, two daughters; Elaine Young, Pegg (Howard) Allen, and four grandchildren; James W. (Adam Springer) Young, Savannah Hanning, Megan (Kevin Stark) and Zach Allen and a great grandson Ivan Lee Fisher. Virginia is survived by her brother Jerry (Diane) Elliott and a sister Barb Rokos. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband James R. Young , her brothers David and William Elliott and her grandson Joshua Taylor Young. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 7:00pm at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan Ave. Pastor Rick Hodgeson will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Wednesday from 5pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial to the Joshua Taylor Young Fund or to Home and Hospice Advantage.

Sadly, I haven't been close to this side of the family. I'm sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I did have the opportunity to meet her once. What stood out to me most was how similar our sense of humor was...R.I.P.
