Johnson, AlbertSaginaw, Michiganpassed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Born on May 14, 1933 to the late John Fred and Mabel Ruth (Bero) Johnson, Al was the youngest of sixteen children. On December 13, 1952, Al married his wife of nearly 60 years, Anna Clara Hodges. She predeceased him in 2012. Al served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954, during the Korean War. He worked at Lufkin Rule in Saginaw and retired from U.S. Graphite in 1993, where he was a steward and committee man. He was a member and past president of UAW Local 537. Albert is survived by his children; Adele L. Cassow, Annemarie Johnson (Bobby Herber) and Alan D. (Julie) Johnson; his grandchildren: Josh A. Johnson (Amanda Davison), Paul James Cassow III, Aarika L. Cassow (Sean Fedak)and Tyler Keyser; his great grandchildren Emma, Kaidence and Wesley; his good friends John and Marion Mott and several nieces and nephews. To celebrate Al's life, a time of gathering will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4-7pm at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan Ave. At 7:00pm a military honor service will be conducted by American Legion Post #439. A private burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial to the American Cancer Society.

Sorry I didn't get my location correct. Was glad to visit at the past family reunion and see you Uncle Buzz. You were an inspiration to me for making the Navy my career. Being only two years older, we had fun as kids. Tell my brother Butch we miss him!
