Barbara Prudhomme

Prudhomme, Barbara M.Saginaw, MichiganBarbara passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Cartwright Hospice Center at age 82. She was born January 20, 1933 to the late Joseph and Hazel Shaddeau Schmiegel in Saginaw. She worked and later retired from Eaton Manufacturing in the late 1990's and continued working as a volunteer for Covenant Hospitals. She was a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Barbara will be remembered for her outgoing personality. She loved to dance, play cards, play Bingo and had fun taking lots of pictures. She is survived by her sons Steven (Cathey) Prudhomme, Patrick (Debbie) Prudhomme, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Mary Jo (Larry) Nieman and various nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sons David and Michael Prudhomme, grandsons Michael J. Prudhomme II, Ryan Scott Prudhomme, and her sister Patricia Luplow. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11:00am at the McIntyre Funeral Chapel, 504 N. Michigan Ave. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 2-8pm and on Tuesday from 10am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, her family has suggested that memorials be considered to the Cartwright Hospice Center or to Grace Adventures Christian Camp.
