Phyllis R. Sudhoff, age 81, of Saginaw, passed away in Ashley on February 1, 2016. She was born February 28, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan to Paul and Cecelia Huebner (nee Brown). Phyllis was a member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and Eucharistic minister. She was formerly a member of St. Thomas Aquinas, where she was a Catechist, lector, and Eucharistic minister for many years. Phyllis loved painting, gardening, reading, and spending time with her loving family and friends.Phyllis is survived by her children, Gregory Sudhoff, Linda Sudhoff, Chris (Alice) Sudhoff, and Michelle (Bob) Wathen; her grandchildren, Danielle and Taryn Sudhoff, Jonathon Kokko, and Alex, Peter, and Anna Wathen; 5 great grandchildren; her siblings, Valerie (Frank) Revesz and Donald (JoAnne) Huebner; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph.Visitation will take place Thursday, February 4, 2016, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Funeral Vigil Liturgy at 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Services (formerly McIntyre Funeral Chapel), 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602.Visitation will continue Friday, February 5, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish - St. Josaphat Site, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, MI 48604. Interment will be private.Memorials may be made to St. John Paul II Parish, 3160 Carla Drive, Saginaw, Michigan 48604 or the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Dear Sudhoff Family, I would like to extend my condolences to your family. I worked with Phillis many years at J.C. Penney's Salon a very long time ago. She was a delightful person to work with and a good friend. She often talked about her family and was very proud of all of you. We also shared our love of our faith. Again my condolences to all.
