Marie Ozark

Marie Ann Ozark, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, surrounded by family after a brief battle with congestive heart failure. Marie was born November 23, 1945 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Bernard and Verna (Swarthout) Federspiel.She was employed up until recently as a Home Healthcare Aide with A&D Healthcare. Marie was an avid reader and skilled Euchre and Scrabble player. She had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs. Marie adored her rescued pets, especially her pit bulls.Marie is survived by her children, Dawn (Dan McKune) Ozark, Julie (Scott) Roskelly, Aaron (Toya) Ozark, and Justin Ozark; grandchildren, Garrett, Raina, Aaron, and Jaiden Ozark, Colin, Brendan, and Tristan McKune; sisters, Barbara Federspiel and Jennifer (Jim) Kaul. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Max, Douglas, James, Thomas, and infant brother, Jack Federspiel.Visitation will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Campus, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI, 48638. Rev. Fr. Andy LaFramboise will officiate. Honoring Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment will take place at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Marie's family wishes to extend special thanks to Tina “Smiley” at Select Specialty Hospital and to Dr. Chaku for their wonderful, compassionate care.
