Obituary
Ruth M. Barnett, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Saginaw. She was born on January 11, 1919 to Otto and Ruth Edward in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ruth is survived by her nieces, Barbara (Roger) Vieno and Elizabeth (Gordon) Sprague; nephew, William “Bill” Edward; and many other dear family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Harald “Chum” Barnett, who passed away in 1979; her sisters, Jean Logan and Marie Rule; brother, William Edward; and their parents. Interment will take place on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw.Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1426 Straits Drive, Bay City, Michigan 48706 or www.heartlandhospicefund.org.

I am a member of the Saginaw Moose lodge and work on the bingo. Ruth, for many years, sat right in front of my desk and we became good friends. She was a lovely lady, full of fun, cheerful and always looking for the best, especially when it came to winning. I miss her nice face every Thursday. She often talked about her wonderful nieces and nephew and all the care that you all lavished on he.r
