Kenneth Wright
July 20, 1930 - January 06, 2017
Obituary
Heaven was hopping early the morning of the New Year as Kenneth James Wright joined its dance floor. Kenneth could often be seen dancing with his wife of 61 years, Helen, whether in Saginaw at the Moose, in Bay City at The Eagles or in New Orleans, Nashville, Memphis or New York. They danced nearly every week of their over 61 year romance.Besides, striking up the band, the Lord had to brush up on his Euchre when Kenneth arrived. He was an avid card player that loved Euchre. He was met at the gates by his daughter, Kendra Kay, brothers Edward, Russell and William, his faithful dogs Albert, Claude and Sammy, and too many cats to mention. Kenneth served his country proudly in the Army 2nd Battalion, 14th Armored, 3rd Army Division from 1948 - 52 stationed in Germany. He leaves a family behind that will miss his smile and laughter. Along with his wife Helen, he is survived by his sister, Claudia Hunter of Old Bridge, New Jersey, daughters, AnMaree Williams of Midland and TereJo Wright-Pelkey of Saginaw and son, Kenneth Guy Wright of Miami, FL. Kenneth's nine grandchildren will miss his antics and love and include family of AnMaree, Bradley James, Andrew Jon and RobAn Leigh Williams, daughters of Kenneth Guy, Katherine Diane and Constance Helena Wright, daughter of TereJo, Alana Marie Furlo and family of Kendra Kay, Kaylee Michelle, Lindsey Kay and Ian Robert Turnwald. He was also loved and cared for deeply by the spouses of his children, Robin Gary Williams, Helen Wright, James Pelkey and Leon Turnwald.A celebration of his life will begin with a Memorial Mass on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Andrew Catholic Church Site of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, 612 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saginaw County Animal Care Center, 1312 Gratiot Ave., Saginaw, Michigan 48602.
