Obituary
Dolores F. “Dolly” Platko, age 85, of Saginaw, entered into Eternal Life, Monday, January 23, 2017.
The daughter of Nickolas and Frances Platko, Dolores was born on April 18, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan.
Dolly prayed the Rosary daily and volunteered throughout her life at SS. Peter and Paul food pantry. She loved trips to the casino, especially to Las Vegas. Dolly was a big fan of sports, including bowling and golf, which she participated in often. Dolly was always looking after people who were less fortunate and will be missed by all who met her.
Dolly is survived by her dear sister, Donna (Robert) Cohee; many nieces and nephews, including her dear nephew, Troy Cohee, and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Lou Platko; brother, Jack (Patricia) Platko; and a beloved aunt, Helen Bocian.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602, and will continue Friday, January 27, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Site, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI, 48638. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Saginaw.
Memorials in Dolores' name may be made to the Food Pantry at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
