Obituary
James Frederick Hughes, age 77, of Saginaw, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017. The son of William and Emma Hughes, James was born September 4, 1939, in Saginaw.
James worked at Super foods 30 plus years. He was a loyal Mason, Shriner, an active member of the local Moose Club, VFW, and American Legion. He had a green thumb and loved gardening and landscaping. He was a collector of all things, a loving Father and an excellent mentor.
James is survived by his loving son, James “Jimmy” Hughes; step brothers and step sisters Jerry, Jim, Shirley, Dan, Howard and Dave Lazzaro; many nieces, nephews, and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bill (Joanne) Hughes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602.
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Memorials in James' name may be made to the consideration of the family.
