Obituary
Frances June Geese, age 95, of Saginaw, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at home surrounded by family.
She was born on June 6, 1921, to Alfred and Catherine Letourneau in Saginaw.
June worked at Saginaw Furniture, Holden Red Stamp, Montgomery Ward, J.C. Penney, and McCray Press. She was a lifetime member of DAU and a member of St. Andrew Church. June loved babysitting her grandchildren, dancing, going to bingo, playing games on her computer, and watching old television shows. She cherished time with her family and also leaves behind a special angel, Sister Elaine. June's family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, especially Don and Deb, for their loving kindness.
June is survived by her loving children, Bonnie Gunther, Bill Geese, Judy (Rick Knecht) Gunther, and Joe (Sherri) Geese; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Carol) Gunther, Steven (Kay Marie) Gunther, Lori Gunther Milks, Sal Salazar, Christopher Grandy, David (Renee) Sharkey, Daniel Sharkey, Amanda (Erik) Goidosik, Joe Geese, and Dustin Geese; sixteen great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Geese, in 1972, two brothers, and seven sisters, and her parents.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until time of Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m., at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602.
Visitation will continue Monday, May 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church Site of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, 612 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate.
Memorials may be made directly to the family.
