Obituary

Sandra “Sandy” Lee Reimer, age 74, of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017, surrounded by her family.

The daughter of Walter and Dorothy Harmon, Sandy was born on November 30, 1942, in Wayne, Ohio. They preceded her in death.
She married Harvey Reimer on February 23, 1963. Together they shared 54 years of love, laughter, and tears.

Sandy had the biggest heart and hands that were constantly busy. Whether she was crocheting hundreds of hats for the homeless and the rescue mission, baking for fundraisers, sewing special sweatshirts for dialysis patients, or crafting backpacks for children in need, she gave selflessly to anyone and everyone. She had a loving passion for helping others and never expected anything in return. She volunteered at the Clothes Line of Frankenmuth until she no longer could. She was the queen of rummage sales, a role she filled with grace and style. Sandy loved her family and she will always be loved and missed by them.

Sandy is the beloved wife of Harvey Reimer; loving mother of Debbie (Darwin) Medearis, Barb Reimer (Sandy Smith), Marty Reimer (Steve Rodriguez), and Scott (Debbie) Reimer; adored Memaw of Kyle and Ryan Medearis, Caleb, Megan, and Mackenzie Reimer; sister of Steve (Janis) Harmon, and the late Richard “Dick” Harmon and Jeannie Radebaugh. Sandy was a dear aunt, sister in law, and friend to many. She also leaves behind special family, Louise Roby, who was like a daughter, Alicia (John) Leffler, who was like a granddaughter, and Alicia's daughters, Erin and Samantha, who were like Sandy's great granddaughters.

Sandy's family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Ruth Licht for all of her loving care.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Our prayers and love is being sent to the entire Reimer family. We didn't have the chance to know Ms. Sandy long, but it was long enough to know she was full of love and spunk. Our condolences to the family. Love, Amy and Patrick Smith and the girls

Dear Family, We are so very sorry. Sandy was an amazing, caring, and special lady. I was very fortunate to have her call me to surprise Barb on her 40th birthday at a surprise party we held for her at Home Depot. She warmed all of our hearts and sure made us laugh. She was hilarious and I loved seeing Barb turn red several times. I know this is such a difficult time for all of you. My heart is aching for all of you. Love and hugs to all. Our Deepest Sympathy. Love, Wayne & Judy Custer

Uncle Harv, Deb,Barb,Martin and Scott, I know Aunt Sandy is no longer suffering and that is truly a blessing. I am so sorry for you and the emptiness that you are feeling. I can only imagine the reunion of my mom and grandma with Aunt Sandy. I am sure that fresh baked chocolate chip cookies were waiting for her. So many wonderful childhood memories were created between our families. I loved spending time with Uncle Harv and Aunt Sandy at their awesome trailer by Houghton lake. I remember helping mom find sweatshirts for Aunt Sandy to convert so they would keep the dialysis patients warm. She made special adjustments to the sweatshirts so it was easier for the patients to wear them during treatments. Aunt Sandy truly was a giving person. She will be greatly missed by many. Mom always said "life is what you make it" and Aunt Sandy made it so special for everyone. Our deepest sympathies go out to your family. We love all of you! Sincerely, Steve, Trent, Jeni and Chris Radebaugh who is currently in Saudi Arabia

Sandy was a loving and a true friend to us all, she was a excellent baker and share her goods with all her family and friends. Carl and I will never forget her with her special smile and her jokes. She could make you feel good when you were really feeling bad I can't think of a word to really express Sandy. I know she is in heaven baking up a storm to please our Lord and is got her wings on now. May the family be at peace and have comfort knowing where she is now. God Bless Harvey and the kids rest in peace Sandy. Love you all today, yesterday and always, Carl and Nancy Miller
