John Keith Brown, age 57, of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017. The son of Suzanne and John Martin Brown, John was born on November 15, 1960, in Saginaw. He married Kara Harris on July 1, 2007. John was an avid hockey player throughout his youth. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Public Relations. Along with his father, John ran the Town and Country shoe departments in Saginaw and Midland. He worked as a wholesale shoe representative for numerous national companies for 30 years.
John is survived by his wife, Kara; his father, John Martin Brown; mother and father in law, Connie and Robert Harris; brothers in law, Jayson (Aidaly) and Jonathan Harris; extended family and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 15, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. James Krueger will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations will support the Liver Disease and Transplant Outcomes Research Fund. Checks may be made to “University of Michigan” and sent to Medical Development, 1000 Oakbrook, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. John brown was my landlord and turned into a friend. Best memories were of the great Christmas parties a t his house! Gift exchange was always hilarious. Also super bowl gatherings there to. He probably had the first big screen TV among us, soooo off we went to try and win some prizes($) on his game boards and eat some always delicious food. So John, until we meet again.......... John, brown was an awesome landlord an a good friend.
He will be truly missed, we are truly sorry a person's as kind as John, brown will truly be a loss to our community..

Kind,generous,funny thoughtful and sincere! That was John Brown.. Kara and John Sr., I am so sad and so sorry that you have lost him. The world feels a little off kilter to me right now. To my late husband Mike and myself, John was a friend of 30 plus years! A kid brother, as he liked to think of himself at times.So many memories, so much fun! I am currently living in CT. and will be unable to attend his memorial but my heart will be with you.....love, Sue Clayton

So sorry, Kara! You may not have known this, but John was a good buddy of my grandfather's. They lived across Adams from each other and little Johnny would do errands and nice things for my grandfather, even as a young boy. My grandfather, also a "John" enjoyed it when he just came over to talk with him. He will be missed.
