Obituary

Anthony “Duck” L. Johnson, age 47, of Saginaw, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The son of Herman and Rita Johnson, Anthony was born on November 13, 1969, in Saginaw.

Duck loved being outdoors while fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, camping, and going for walks. He was passionate about the Detroit Lions and ice hockey. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because he appreciated gathering with family and enjoying all of the delicious food. Duck also adored being spoiled rotten by his dear wife.

Duck is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Johnson; his children, Elizabeth Johnson, Anthony Johnson, Jr., and Tressa Johnson; grandson, Jayce Pruitt; his mother, Rita Tafoya; brother, Thomas J. (Misty) Johnson; uncles, Scott (Kathleen) Johnson, Calvin (Jean Ann) Johnson, Sheldon (Jackie) Johnson, Bruce (Faye) Johnson, Robert (Mary) Johnson, Craig Johnson, and Richard Allen; aunt, Caroline (Henry) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Tommy and Amber; cousins, Melissa, Kenny, and many other cousins; dear friends, Jesus Navarette, Anthony Novak, Herbert Lester, the Gutierrez family, and several other close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602.

He used to laugh when my daugher seen him she used to quack at him....definatly gonna be missed by many!!

My uncle Duck was so sweet and kind and had a heart of gold. He may not have been my blood uncle but he was in my life since I was little. He always made everyone laugh and smiled no matter where he went. We will never forget u Uncle Duck. R. I. P. We love u always. Love the Mendoza family

Tony was a good friend to me. We grew up on the same block since elementary school he was a few yrs younger than me but was always so happy, 1 of the the most outgoing friends I've ever known, he will b sadly missed but always remembered as 1 of the nicest guys u will ever know
