Obituary
Linda Dean of Newberry, formerly of Linden and Flint, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Cartwright Care Center. The daughter of Frederick and Mamie Kleinschrodt, Linda was born on January 30, 1946, in Flint. She married Harold (Pat) Dean and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Linda began volunteering at Helen Joy Newberry Nursing Home after her husband passed and faithfully served every day for 16 years; she will be dearly missed by the staff and residents. She loved dogs and all animals, making sure all were well fed and cared for. Her family was of the utmost importance in her life. Whenever it was made known that someone was in need, Linda made sure to include them in her daily morning prayers. She will be missed by many.
Linda is survived by her sister, Beverly Dillon of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews; stepson, David (Jena) Dean; step grandchildren, Becky, Elizabeth, and Dawson. Linda was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Mary Miller, of Grand Blanc.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. Michael Ash will officiate.

I remember all the fun of going to Aunt Linda’s for Sunday dinners, swimming in her pool and loving all her dogs. Linda was very caring, extremely generous and would give you the shirt off her back if needed. She was truly un-selfish, she was funny and kind, she loved dogs and animals so much. I used to do ceramics with her for many years in Linden, MI. My special memories of her —when I was a young girl. I used to spend the nights with her having sleepovers. We would get up on a Saturday morning and watch American Bandstand on TV, We would go shopping at Woolworth Stores and drink lots of Coca-Cola. Linda will be forever missed and always loved by Brian, Stacey, Tammy and her niece Karel.

I remember visiting Aunt Linda for family get togethers. She always greeted us with a big warm smile and hug. We swam in her pool, watched her feed And play with her big sweet dogs, and my sister and I loved playing around her house. We will cherish those memories. RIP Aunt Linda
