Obituary
Clara Barbara Kinch, age 84, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. The daughter of Charles and Helen Schneider, Clara was born December 11, 1933, in Saginaw.
Clara was born a hard worker. She initially worked in retail, opening Yankee stores throughout Michigan. Eventually, she went back to school to obtain her diploma in 1976 and she went on to earn a degree in Business Accounting in 1977. Clara worked for the City of Saginaw and most recently worked for Michigan Property Consultants, doing so until the age of 78. While she technically retired from work, she never stopped giving her time and talents, going on to serve on the Board of Review for the City, volunteering at the voting polls and at church, and more. She also took several opportunities to travel, seeing much of the world and enjoying cruises. Any family member or friend who was in need of a helping hand knew they could turn to Clara; she always helped those in need and loved to do so. Clara was an avid reader, a fantastic bowler who played the game twice weekly, loved solving puzzles, and enjoyed being active in various organizations, including her bridge club which she was a member of for 30 years. She loved animals, having rescued and adopted several dogs over the years. Of all the things she enjoyed in life, Clara most loved spending time with her family, focusing on her adored grandchildren once they made their way into the world. Clara will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Clara is survived by her children, Ron (Sherri Dishaw) Kinch, Judy (Bob) Cramer, and Barbara Kinch; grandchildren, Hannah Rose Cramer, Jacob and Nicholas Portner; Debbie Black, who was like a daughter to her; sisters, Theresa Rambow and Jeanette Kaczor; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, and by her siblings, Agnes Dezewiecki, Bernard Schneider, Anna Ludetke, Charles Schneider, Lawrence Schneider, Doris Barachkov, Rosemary Cooper, Arlene Volz, and Lyle Schneider.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until time of Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Visitation will continue Monday, February 5, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1525 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate, with the assistance of Deacon Roger Pasionek.

I remember when I was about 7 and the family was all gathered at Grama's on a Sunday afternoon. A fierce summer storm began and I was scared! Aunt Clara Sat next to me and started rubbing my back, and calmed me. I felt so much better. My dear cousins, your mom was so special. I loved her.

Our memories of your mom go back many, many years as we Canadians loved to come to Saginaw to visit. We stayed at aunt Millie's and I recall great visits with your mom and dad, Connie and Duane and Bev and Bud. You kids were wee gaffers back then. As the years went by and life got busy with our own families we didn't visit often but still think of you all often. You are family. I am grateful and remember fondly our dinner at Frankenmuth a few years ago with you girls and your mother. Thinking of your at this time of loss--
