Wanda Jean Dawson, age 85, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully, next to her husband and surrounded by family on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Saginaw, Michigan. The daughter of Harley and Goldie Elson, Wanda was born February 17, 1933, in Troy, Ohio.
Edward Lee Dawson, age 83, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family four days after his beloved wife, Wanda, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Saginaw, Michigan. The son of Homer and Lola Dawson, Edward was born November 22, 1934, in Piqua, Ohio.
Wanda and Edward were married September 2, 1953 at First Lutheran Church in Troy, Ohio. Spending time with family, friends and their church was the most important part of Wanda and Edward's life. They will be missed by many.
They are survived by their children, Joyce (Jack) Richardson, Nancy (Kevin) Butt, Dale (Kathy) Dawson, and Alan (Crisy) Dawson; grandchildren, Leola (Richard) Schneer, Jennifer (Tom) Deaton, Frank Richardson, John (Marisa) Richardson, Joel Richardson, Jason (Samantha) Butt, Andrew Butt, Steven Butt, Darbi (Kevin) Boddy, Darla Hurt, Matthew Dawson, Terrell Dawson, Shelby Greene, and Joshua Dawson; 17 great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Emily Dawson and Shirley Dawson. Wanda was preceded in death by her siblings, Harold, Lloyd, and Arthur Elson. Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald, Roger, Fred, and Charles Dawson.
Visitation for Wanda and Edward will be from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, 1124 W. Main Street, Troy, Ohio 45373. Visitation will continue from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00am, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at First Lutheran Church, 2899 W. Main Street, Troy, Ohio 45373. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery, Covington, Ohio.
