Obituary
Carl “Bruce” Tyler, age 78, of Thomas Township, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The son of Carl M. and Florabelle (Muzzy) Tyler, Bruce, was born September 20, 1946, in Owosso, Michigan.
Bruce worked for General Motors at the Central Foundry and Malleable Iron Plants for more than 40 years. He proudly served his country in Vietnam with the Marine Corps as a sniper. He remained patriotic his entire life. Bruce loved the outdoors, especially while fishing, hunting, and spending time up north at Ocqueoc Lake, where he cherished being with cousins James and Sharon Ryan, and often referred to Jim as his ‘brother from another mother'. Bruce will always be remembered as a wonderful provider, a jokester, an incredibly generous person, and his exceptional way with children.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Diane Tyler; children, Thomas (Janice) Inman, Timothy (Jean) Inman, Jeremy Inman, James (Amy) Inman, Russell (Bill Giorgis) Inman, Robert Inman, Amy Durkee, and Jill (Kent Kaiser) Kurtansky; grandchildren, Virginia Jones, Danielle Inman, Meagan Inman, Christina Inman (fiancé Noah), Samantha Inman, Alex Inman, Scott Inman, Jonathan Inman, Ludkhana Inman, Autumn Lutenske, James “Jimmy” Inman, Ava Inman, Sarah Wortley, Greg Wortley, Merry Marry, Tinsel, Hunter Inman, Meadow Inman, Lakelyn Inman, Samantha Baker, Olivia Durkee, Jonathan Durkee, Michael Kurtansky, and Joshua (Sascha) Kurtansky; great-grandchildren, Aurora-Jeanette Jones, Jayden Jones, Julian Jones, Ezekiel Durkee, Keto Kurtansky, and Kaner Kurtansky.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Pastoral Associate Amy Roe will officiate. Burial will follow.
Memorials in honor of Bruce may be made to the Mustard Seed Shelter, 1325 Cherry Street, Saginaw, MI 48601.
