Obituary
Gary L. Dashkovitz, age 71, of Saginaw, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, August 13, 2018.
The son of Albert and Phyllis Dashkovitz, Gary was born on August 15, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for several years and also worked for Baker Perkins for 18 years. He was an avid and talented woodworker who created furniture since 1991. Gary loved fishing and camping, but he especially enjoyed doing so in Glennie, Michigan.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Judy; sons, Scott (Melissa) and Gary (Amy) Dashkovitz; grandchildren, Logan, Emersyn, Allison, Alana, and Cameron, with a great grandchild on the way; brother, Randy (Yuko) Dashkovitz, sisters in law, Lois Tessin, Lynn Tessin, and Faye (Jeff) Brown; brother in law, Bruce Tessin; nieces, Melissa (Frank) Schlick, Emily (Andy) Brown, and Stephanie Brown (fiancé, Mike Hobbs); nephew, Ahren Schlick.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and by his father and mother in law, Martin and Agnes Tessin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Matthew Hauser will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Gary may be made to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Attn: Voluntary Services, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602.

Gary was my playmate when I was nine, ten and eleven years old. We moved away and I missed him very much. I often wondered where he was, now I know, my sympathy to his wife and children.
