Obituary
Iris L. Elliott, passed away peacefully September 28, 2018, at Covenant HealthCare Cooper, surrounded by her family. She was 93 years old and proud of it. Iris was born on the 4th of July, 1925, to the late Charles and Violet (Watterworth) O'Connor in Elkton, Michigan. She married Howard A. Elliott on November 30, 1946, in Elkton. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1987.
Iris is survived by her children, Janis (Richard) Devers, Cheryl LaFountaine, and Pamela Elliott; her grandchildren, Pari (Matthew) Waack, Penny (David) Mullin, Patricia (Timothy) Winters, Nicole (Andrew) Miller, Megan LaFountaine, Brandon and Bryan Borgerding; her great grandchildren, Anna, Andrew, and Emma Waack, Ryan and Kathryn Mullin, Elliott and Honor Winters, Avery Bono, Jacob and Justin Teets, Brenna LaFountaine; a sister, Emma Frances Roth; a sister in law, Patricia (Robert) Protzman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Doepker and Verle Hushin.
Iris was a homemaker and enjoyed playing solitaire, watching sports, and feeding the birds and squirrels outside her window. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Caretel and the 3rd floor Cardiac Unit at Covenant for their care and support.
