I served in the US ARMY SECURITY AGENCY as a morse interceptor with Doug (Maz) in Korea and Ft. Huachuca and I personally know how proud he was of his service to America. He was a good friend from 1963 til this day and wish I lived close enough to be there for his service. Praying for his blessed family during this time. Jim Leonard Enola, Pa.

I am so sorry to learn of Doug's passing. He was a wonderful brother and brother-in-law to Dan and me. I remember with a smile his great humor and sense of fun. Joyce and Terri, you also probably remember his "chicken" performances for Buzia. Doug's big heart and love of family were evident in all his care and support. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Thinking of your family during this difficult time. As a cousin to Doug, I remember hanging out at his parents home and all the fun we had! We still use the wedding gift we got from Jan and him almost 47 years ago. We hope that your happy memories comfort you and bring you peace. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Coached softball with this guy! He was an awesome coach. I tried to get serious, but he would always say- it’s just a game. We will coach together again in heaven !!

Mr Mazany was my softball coach in the early 90s. For years after, if he saw me, he would give me a big hug and ask what I was up to. Very nice man always with a smile. He will be very missed. Sending hugs and prayers to the whole family. Shantele Schaard-Claussen Elmy
