Obituary
Sue Jean Stroebel, age 78, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2018. The daughter of Maynard and Arlene Wolkensdorfer, Sue was born November 23, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Donald Stroebel on August 31, 1957.
Sue was the Kitchen Manager at Swan Valley Schools for more than 20 years. An avid sewer and an excellent baker, Sue was known for her sugar cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. If Sue was baking, there was no need to buy any baked goods because they paled in comparison to what she could make. She adored spending time with her beloved family and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
Sue is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Stroebel; her children, Arthur Stroebel (significant other, Karrie Prohaska), Gregory (Maria) Stroebel, David (Nicole) Stroebel, and Thomas (Dawn) Stroebel; grandchildren, Nicol and Kyle (Whitney) Stroebel, Miguel (Maria) Vasquez, Marissa (Erica) Hill, and Megan Stroebel, Briana, Zach, and Nicholas Stroebel, and Lindsay and Mackenzie Stroebel; sister, Judy (the late Gary) Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Visitation will take place Monday, November 26, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Site of St. Dominic Parish, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48638. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. Entombment at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery will take place at a later date.

I remember one birthday, my daughter, Heidi, my daughter-in-law, Sylvia and I were coming home from a bridal shower and I mentioned that it was Sue's Birthday. So we stopped and sang Happy Birthday to her when she answered the door. Of course she was wearing an apron and was up to her elbows making some of those wonderful cookies she was known for. God's Blessings to her family. She will be greatly missed! Love to all! Aunt Judy.

I am so sorry to hear of Sue’s passing. Though she was my late husband Charles (Bud) Sperry’s cousin, I did not know Sue well. We spent many Stafford reunions with Arlene. Blessings to your family. Remember, though gone from this earth, forever in your hearts.
