Obituary
Alice Irene Vance of Saginaw Twp., MI, formerly of Paradise, CA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Wellspring Assisted Living at the age of 100. Alice Roberts was born March 4, 1925, in Syracuse, NE to Bryan and Grace (Thurman) Roberts. She married Basil Vance on August 29, 1941, in Nebraska City, NE. They were married for 42 years.
Alice loved being a homemaker, caring for Basil and their 5 children. Alice enjoyed music, going to dances, thrift store shopping, and loved animals.
Surviving are her grandchildren, Andrew Vance, Kristin Rigda, Leah Vitale, Carissa Fritts, Brice Fritts, Spencer Woerfel, and Zachary Vance; great grandchildren, Bradly Vance, Jordon Vance, Parker Rigda, Grace Rigda, Ryan Fritts, and Hunter Fritts; great great grandchildren, Jackson and Carter Vance; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Vance. Also surviving is her sister, Marilyn Spencer, a special nephew Tom Roberts, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Basil, her children, Neal, Don, Gary, Glen, and Carol; grandson, David Vance; parents, Bryan and Grace; siblings, Gene, Jim, Florence, Ardith, Thomas, and Joyce.
Many thanks are extended to the Great Lakes PACE family where Alice was loved. Two special employees at Wellspring Assisted Living, Violet and Emily. A & D Hospice where loving care was given by Serina and Ylonda ensuring Alice's comfort was a top priority.
Cremation has taken place.
