Patrick “Pat” Slominski, age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at The Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center.
The son of Sylvester and Virginia Slominski, Pat was born on July 22, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Pat enlisted in the Navy in 1968 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam aboard the USS Keppler. He married Theresa Mazany on July 7, 1973. Pat retired from General Motors after a 37 year career. He loved the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and polka music.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Theresa “Terri” Slominski; children, Amy (Dave) Austin, Ann Slominski (fiancé Kent Ludwig) and Sue Lincoln; grandchildren, Hendrix Austin, Damien Slominski (fiancée Lexi Eaton), Casey Kent, Ethan Kent, Haley Slominski, Andrew Lincoln, Jenna Lincoln, Jake Lincoln, and their father, Adam Lincoln; great grandchild, Atticus Kent; siblings, Mike (Chris) Slominski, Kathy (the late Ray) Kelly and Rose (Dirk) Adams; nieces, nephews and cousins; and his long time Navy buddy, Lou (Sandra) Oseguera.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald Slominski and Sully Slominski.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan, 48602, where military honors will also take place.
Burial will take place in the spring at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
Memorials in honor of Pat may be made to the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI, 48602 or to Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI, 48442.

Pat will sure be missed. He was one of a kind. He was such an easy man to talk to and laugh with. He loved his wife and family so much. I'm so sorry for my best friend Amy, Dave, Chico, Terri, Sue and all of his family and friends.

Some of my best memories of Uncle Pat are from camping and tubing. We always had a fun time! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hoping you are also remembering happy times and keep those memories with you in the days ahead.
