Christie Marie Shepard, age 41, of Saginaw, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019. The daughter of April Sheppard, Christie was born on August 26, 1977, in Newport, Kentucky.
Christie had many passions in life, including fishing, reading, music, math, and travel, to name a few. She loved to joke, was smart, and had a mischievous sense of humor and warm personality that were evident to everyone she met. Of all the things she loved in life, Christie loved her kids the most. She will be remembered for her wit and her big heart.
Christie is survived by her sons, Colton (Heather) Sheppard-VanWormer, Brandon (Elisha Shingleton) Van Wormer-Shepard, and Randy Wahl, Jr.; daughters, LaRissa Craig and Calleigh DeVinney; boyfriend, Billy DeVinney; mother, April Sheppard; grandchildren, Amari Sheppard-VanWormer, Karsyn, Aiden, Winter, and Brandon, Jr., Van Wormer-Shepard; sister, Jennifer Arnold; brother, Wayne Shannon; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Christie was preceded in death by her former husband, Glenn Shepard, and her stepfather, Tommy Sheppard.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 20, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602.
