Joe is the best brother one could ever have.
He tried to teach me all that he knew about life,
How to stand up to challenges I might face,
How to always live a life filled with joy,
How to recognize that Love when I found it,
And even tried to share his mechanical skills.
Sadly, I will never fix an engine, refit a boat to sail true,
Every tool I have, you gave me. I still can’t name them all,
Nor remember their purpose.
You were my book of history, my first French teacher,
My only instructor into almost all skilled trades.
My first martial arts instructor,
The philosopher at a camp fire sharing life lessons learned.
The seaman that tried to teach me to sail or drown me, still trying to figure that one out!
I will miss you old man. I have so much now I wish I could share with you now that I
Try to follow your advice and copy your course,
The memories are thick and filled with happy, goofy and fun experiences shared.
Sail true Joe, until we finally meet again.
Love ya Forever! Gary

Though my father and I had many differences he will always be my rock. When I was younger I was the definition of a daddys girl. He would be working a job and drop everything just to bring me a Pepsi . My father was the most giving person I know.though I didn't see him during his last days, my prayers were aimed his way. I hope my mother and him find peace. With much love , forever in my mind the way he was. I'll see you in my dreams daddy.
