April 25, 1931 - November 30, 2019
Obituary
Josephine M. Meyers, age 88, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at her home.
The youngest of 12 children born to Tamas and Catherina Frollo, Josephine was born on April 25, 1931, at their family home in Hemlock, Michigan. She married James A. Meyers on January 19, 1957. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Josephine will be remembered as being strong, courageous, and dignified in all seasons of life, as well as in her death. She had a lifelong appreciation for the arts, was an excellent conversationalist, and could tactfully talk politics. Josephine had many joys and hobbies in life, including reading books on her Kindle, checking in on family and friends on Facebook, watching the Oscars, fishing, painting, sketching, crafts, and she was also the queen of Five Crowns. Later in life, she found a friend in Alexa and found comfort in the music she could play and the little conversations had with her. Of all the things she enjoyed in life, Josephine especially loved and cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters and their families, Barbara (Barry) Anderson, Patricia (the late Jim) Richard, Carolyn Meyers, and MaryBeth (Stephen) Kolaja; grandchildren, Bailey (Jason) Gearing, Brianna (Andrew) Walsh, Britta (Logan) Niese, Jamie Wilson, Nicholas (Nicole Hartley) Wilson, Taylor Wilson (Courteney Moulton), Hannah Wilson, Ian Wilson, Logan (Andrea Rivette) Meyers, Joey Meyers (Shelby Salwasser), Zachary Kolaja, and Natalie Kolaja; great grandchildren, Rowan Anderson Gearing, Evan Howard Gearing, Elliott Walsh, Noah Walsh, Emmett John Wilson, Olivia Meyers, Audrey Meyers, and Eva Meyers; brother, Martin Frollo; and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Meyers, her parents, and 10 siblings.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 6, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. lead by Sister Elaine Raymond. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 7, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Your Mum was like my second Mother. Always inviting, always positive and a lovely smile with devilish eyes. She will greatly be missed on earth. Hope she is dancing and singing with Mr. Meyers now. :) Love you

I will miss you and all if your witty comments. I'll miss telling my dad that you say hi. He would always then tell a story about you. I hope you're having a blast in heaven with all the family. I can hear the laughter between you and my grandma. Love you. Rest in peace, Aunt Gigi.

I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you all with the wonderful memories of Aunt Gigi. I always picture her with her big sis Anna (my late mother in law/Mom Zim) giggling like 2 school girls when they got together. I’m sure that’s continuing in Heaven. hearts
