Obituary
Patricia Ann Pagel, age 85, of Saginaw, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Grand Rapids, MI attended to by loving family after a valiant fight with cancer. Patricia was born to Alfred & Ethel Edwards in Saginaw, MI, September 7, 1934. She graduated from SS Peter & Paul High School in 1952. She married Charles F. Pagel Jr. on April 25, 1959. They were married for 28 years and he predeceased her in May 1987.
Pat especially loved her morning coffee, lunch with friends, caring for her family and warm summer days on her screened-in porch. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where she volunteered in the office, loved knitting, crocheting, managing the family farm, and was well known for her sweet baked beans and cookies.
Patricia is survived by her four children; Nancy Fohlbrook (Robert), Charles (Bo) Pagel (Cathy), Susan Evon (Calin), and Michael Pagel; grandchildren Robert (Bobby) Fohlbrook, Rachel Fohlbrook, David Fohlbrook, Kayla Trowbridge (Dirk), Amy Evon, Anna Evon, Sarah Evon, Marie Evon, Margaret (Maggie) Evon, Elizabeth (Ellie) Evon, Joel Pagel, Sarah Pagel and Johannah Pagel; great grandchildren Kirk and Anna Joy Trowbridge. Pat also leaves a brother Alfred (Buck) Edwards (Mary) and several nieces and nephews. Also, preceded in death by daughters-in-law Becky Pagel and Renee Pagel.
A visitation will be held at Fischer Family Funeral Services, 504 N Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602 on Friday, September 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601 on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Gerry Pehler officiating. There will be a visitation prior to the funeral from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Andrew's Cemetery, Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, MI.
