Timothy “Tim” James Gilbert, age 66, of Saginaw, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, after a two-year battle with cancer. The son of Jacqueline (Manning) Gilbert Dubay and Thomas “Tuck” Gilbert, Jr., Tim was born January 7, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan.
Tim enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Detroit Lions, U of M, and Michigan State Spartans. He loved fishing, cooking, rock music, reading as well as trips to the casino. He had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends especially his children and grandchildren.
Tim is survived by his children, Christina (Steven) Allen, Timothy (Rebekah) Gilbert, Jr., James (Heather) Gilbert, Michael Anthony Gilbert, and Adam Anderson; long time companion, Debra Clark, Adam's mother; grandchildren, Tiana and Carmella Allen, Timothy Gilbert III and James Gilbert, Isabella, Ilannah, and Wesley Gilbert, Michael Gilbert, Jr., Mia, Mikella and Mikeana Gilbert; brother, Terrance Gilbert (Kerri Jackson) and sister, Gail (Wayne) Beyersdorf; Mary Lou Gilbert, the mother of his children, Christina, Timothy, James, and Michael; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline Dubay and Thomas Gilbert, Jr., and his brother, Thomas Gilbert III.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 121 S. Harrison Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be used in accordance with their wishes, or to First Presbyterian Church.

I will be praying for the family. I only knew Tim for 5 years but those 5 years were a blessing. Tim was very caring but who do anything to help someone in need. He will be missed.

To the family of Tim, I'll keep each and everyone of yous in my prayers. I'm so sorry to hear of Tim's passing, he was a very good friend( we called each other brother and sister) of my husband Danny Johnson and myself for over 40 years. There's nothing Tim or Debbie wouldn't do for you. I have tons of fantastic memories of you my brother. Fly high with those newly acquired wings. Tell my Danny hi for me, I just know y'all are playing pool and watching football together. You'll truly be missed. Love your sis, Kathy Roberts Johnson. Till we meet again.
