Margaret Duby
July 31, 1930 - November 20, 2019
Obituary
Margaret Ann Duby, age 89, of Saginaw, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center.
The daughter of the late Hermann and Helen (nee Kiesel) Weber, Margaret was born on July 31, 1930, in Saginaw.
Margaret was a faithful person her entire life, either by attending church, being a member of the Evangelist program door to door, helping with funeral luncheons, or church soup suppers, she was always volunteering somehow. Margaret was active in the Read Association, reading to children at Stone Elementary School. Margaret graduated from Saginaw High School in 1948. She began working at Baker Perkins, eventually taking a job in the cafeteria at South Jr. High and finishing her career at Arthur High School as a cook. She enjoyed spending time at the beach where she loved to swim and relax—often up at East Tawas. Margaret was an excellent baker, cook and all around grand lady. The family would like to thank Hoyt Nursing and Rehab for their wonderful care over the last four years.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Lloyd Junior Duby, Jr.; children, Paul Duby and Pete (Cynthia Olenick-Duby) Duby; grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Duby; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special niece Sheila List; and dear friends, Sue Kisser, who would read the church bulletin to Margaret every Sunday, and George Wojahn, who gave communion to Margaret monthly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Marwood Weber and Robert Weber.
Visitation will take place Sunday, November 24, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fischer Family Funeral Home, 504 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602. Visitation will continue on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave., Saginaw, MI 48602, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Matthew Hauser will officiate. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw following the service.
Memorials in honor of Margaret may be made to the Peace Lutheran Church General Fund, c/o the church.

Lloyd, Paul and Pete, Jan and I send our love and thoughts your way upon Margaret's entrance into heaven. Margaret was such a charming, humble, gifted, faithful person! To think that she now worships in our Lord's magnificent presence gives us sweet healing as we grieve her loss. We'll be out of state for Margaret's funeral but thinking of you and of course all the memories of so many visits with Margaret into Saginaw homes to share God's love from the cross of Jesus.
